This silver coin features a reverse design by Philip Nathan with a standing Britannia carrying a trident in her right hand, an olive branch in her left, and a shield bearing the Union Jack. First released in 1997 and with a 999 purity, this silver coin also features a sunburst pattern of radial lines as an anti-counterfeiting measure.

Each of the coins maintains a similar, but not always identical, design on both the obverse and reverse.
