To begin the process of making a kilo cast silver bar, 32.15 troy ounces of .999 fine silver is inserted into an appropriated sized cast mold that is ran through a flameless tunnel to heat the silver shot up and essentially melt it into the cast bar shape. Once each bar makes it through the flameless tunnel process a SilverTowne Craftsman must remove it from the mold and hand stamp the Pony Express image, the SilverTowne mintmark, and the weight and purity designations into each bar. The silver itself cools with different waves/lines on the front and the back will often have bubble-looking marks and lines from being handled and cooled. This process makes each and every cast bar unique.
