The book opens to show the coin inset into the body of the book. The certificate of authenticity is printed on the inside of the front cover along with a brief biography of Shakespeare.
The obverse of this coin is split in half. The left side has the Ian Rank-Broadly effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, while the right side features a portrait of William Shakespeare set within a frame.
The reverse of the coin contains a relief of four of Shakespeare's most iconic characters - King Lear, Romeo, Juliet and Hamlet.
