In 2021 the Royal Mint began the Myths and Legends series, which is a collection paying a homage to some legendary characters of the United Kingdom's folklore. The first release was the Robin Hood one ounce coin, Maid Marian appeared on the second release, and lastly this bullion coin featuring Little John.
