Black rhodium plating makes Canada’s maple leaf shine brighter than ever.
Among the many fascinating leaves found in Canada’s eastern forests, the sugar maple truly stands out. Its distinctive outline, deeply veined lobes, and irregularly toothed edges give it a familiar-yet-intriguing look that sets it apart from the rest, and these iconic features are especially prominent on this 1 oz. 99.99% pure silver coin. On the coin’s reverse, the black rhodium plated field acts as a matte backdrop, redirecting both the light and the viewer’s attention to the true shining star: Canada’s endlessly elegant maple leaf, which shines ever brighter against a beautiful matte proof finish.
Add a black rhodium backed maple leaf to your collection.

LE SAVIEZ-VOUS ?
The sugar maple is one of 10 maple species that naturally occur in Canada, but it is arguably the most well-known Canadian maple due to its ecological and economic importance—it’s also the preferred species for maple syrup production.
Designed by Canadian artist Donna Kriekle, your coin’s reverse features a finely engraved sugar maple (Acer saccharum) leaf set against the black rhodium plated field. Black rhodium plating also fills the field on the obverse, which features the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Canadian artist Steven Rosati.
