Each 1 oz Copper Bullet is made from an avoirdupois or "bathroom scale" ounce of 999 pure copper and is modelled after the ammunition for the .45 Automatic Colt Pistol. They are based on the ammunition designed by John Browning in 1904 for the Colt semi-auto .45 pistol and M1911 pistol that was adopted by the US Army in 1911. Browning also created various other guns, gun mechanisms and ammunition for both military and civilian guns alike.
