The reverse side features Etienne Millner’s rendition of St. George atop a stallion, bracing a lance as he slays a villainous dragon, with an insatiable appetite for human souls. The vivid detail is evident, as meticulous etching is applied from the carving of St. George’s armour to scales of the dragon. The textured field ads a further element of style, as it contrasts the plain legend of the coin, which includes the coins weight, purity, and year of issue.

On the obverse, a unique incuse element is applied in addition to radial lines throughout the field of the coin. Susanna Blunt’s effigy of Queen Elizabeth II is centred, as her title, and the coins face value serve as the legend.
